The Government of Mexico announced that, through the Health Routes program, full supply was achieved in IMSS Bienestar hospitals and health centers with the distribution of 28 million medicines nationwide. Between August 19 and 30, a total of 11,364 kits were delivered to 8,639 pharmacies, of which 8,061 correspond to health centers and 578 to second- and third-level hospitals across 23 federalized states.

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted that this model streamlined the distribution of medical supplies by establishing differentiated kits for hospitals and health centers, based on the National Medical Care Protocols (PRONAM). She also thanked the more than six thousand people involved in the delivery process and emphasized that this mechanism ensures efficiency in supply while the digitalization of procedures is consolidated.

Alejandro Svarch Pérez, director general of IMSS Bienestar, explained that the strategy mobilized 710 vehicles along 1,006 routes to guarantee the public and free supply of medicines, noting that these routes will operate monthly to maintain 100 percent coverage.

Meanwhile, IMSS director Zoé Robledo Aburto announced that ten new hospitals will begin operations in 2025 in states including Chihuahua, Baja California, Mexico City, Puebla, Hidalgo, Sonora, Guanajuato, Campeche, and Chiapas, along with the construction of nine more in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense.

ISSSTE director Martí Batres Guadarrama reported that before the end of the year, construction will begin on six new medical units and 16 more in various stages. At the same time, Deputy Minister of Prevention and Health Promotion, Ramiro López Elizalde, presented the 2025 National Public Health Week, to be held from September 6 to 13, with 30,000 actions benefiting 20 million people.
