During “Las mañaneras del pueblo,” President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that, as part of the “Vivienda para el Bienestar” program, there are close to 300,000 homes in progress at various stages: 200,613 from Infonavit and 86,708 from Conavi.
Edna Elena Vega Rangel, Secretary of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development, detailed that there is a land reserve for 900,000 homes on well-located plots with services. This year’s goal is to build 400,000 homes: 302,000 by Infonavit, 86,000 by Conavi and 9,000 by FOVISSSTE, representing 70 percent progress. She indicated that on September 3, an inter-institutional agreement was signed to speed up procedures, processes and necessary works.
Likewise, delivery of the first 9,160 homes has begun: between October and December, Infonavit will deliver 5,660, and in December, Conavi will deliver 3,500. In housing improvement (2025 goal: 400,000 supports), Conavi has delivered 102,829, Infonavit 201,745, and the Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal 15,080. In regularization and delivery of deeds, actions total 202,471: 159,500 from Infonavit, 38,230 from FOVISSSTE and 20,241 from INSUS. Regarding credit conditions, 1,598,000 people have benefited from write-downs, freezes, waivers, restructurings and payoffs (1,415,000 from Infonavit and 183,833 from FOVISSSTE).
The Director General of Conavi reported that of the 86,708 homes in progress, 34,024 are already under construction; 15,113 are in preliminary works; and 37,571 are in the contracting phase. He announced that from October 13 to 19, the third registration stage will begin for non-benefit-entitled persons. For his part, Octavio Romero Oropeza, Director General of Infonavit, noted that in addition to the 200,613 homes in progress, 110,228 are already under construction and the year is expected to close with 302,171 homes (25 percent of the six-year target). Jabnely Maldonado Meza, Executive Officer of FOVISSSTE, reported that, as part of the Social Justice Program, 183,833 people have benefited from support measures; payoff certificates have been issued in 22 states, 38,230 mortgage cancellations have been carried out, and 16,000 cases of deed issuance and release have been resolved. In addition, 21,000 credits have been placed (63 percent of the goal), with an outlay exceeding 23 billion pesos, and 30 hectares are already available to build in Puebla, Campeche and Chiapas, as well as an authorized site in Atlixco. José Alfonso Irache Carroll, Director of INSUS, highlighted the start of regularization for 562,156 lots and called for reporting irregularities at insus.gob.mx/buzon.
