President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo oversaw the delivery of 42 homes from the “Todos por Tamaulipas” housing development in Ciudad Victoria as part of the Housing for Wellbeing Program, contributing to the national goal of building 1.8 million homes across the country.
The delivery was conducted through a live link from Palacio Nacional during the press conference “Las mañaneras del pueblo,” where the president emphasized that this action represents the second housing delivery in Tamaulipas under the national housing strategy.
According to information from the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial, and Urban Development (Sedatu), the construction target in the state has increased from 43,000 to 84,026 homes, with an investment of more than 50 billion pesos. The project is expected to benefit 302,000 people and generate 250,000 direct jobs and 378,000 indirect jobs.
Sedatu Secretary Edna Elena Vega Rangel stated that Infonavit and the National Housing Commission (Conavi) have already reached nearly 60 percent progress toward the six-year housing goal in Tamaulipas, in addition to delivering 3,350 property titles in the state.
Meanwhile, Infonavit Director Octavio Romero Oropeza reported that the “Todos por Tamaulipas” development includes 935 homes, of which 277 have already been delivered. Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya highlighted that these efforts are part of a policy aimed at ensuring decent housing for families.
