President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo visited the municipality of Puente de Dios, Querétaro, to oversee recovery and road reopening efforts carried out by the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) under Plan DN-III-E, in support of communities affected by recent heavy rains.
During her tour, the president reported that the Wellbeing Census has already begun to identify the needs of affected families and expedite the delivery of assistance. “We continue in Querétaro supervising recovery efforts and the reopening of roads damaged by the rains. In Puente de Dios, we informed the community about the actions taken by the three levels of government; the census to support the population has already begun,” she stated on social media.
In her morning conference, “Las Mañaneras del Pueblo,” Sheinbaum explained that the Ministry of Welfare has deployed 3,000 public servants across the states of Querétaro, Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, and San Luis Potosí to carry out the census, aiming to start distributing aid within the week.
The president emphasized that coordination between the Federal Government, state, and municipal authorities is essential to ensure a rapid and effective response to the damages caused by the rains, prioritizing assistance to the families most in need.
During this working tour, Sheinbaum was accompanied by Querétaro Governor Mauricio Kuri González and members of her federal cabinet, who visited the affected areas and confirmed the progress of efforts to restore roads and essential public services.
