President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that, one month after the extraordinary rains that impacted the states of Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Veracruz, the Government of Mexico has allocated more than 7.426 billion pesos to support 104,000 affected families. This effort included census work, the delivery of direct assistance, and planning for the reconstruction process, which will begin in December.

During her morning conference, “Las mañaneras del pueblo,” Sheinbaum detailed that 2.088 billion pesos have been allocated for cleanup, 3.305 billion for housing, 275 million for household goods, 304 million for local damages, and 1.452 billion for the agricultural sector. She stated that although this was one of the most impactful natural events in recent history, all affected families have been assisted within a month.

Ariadna Montiel Reyes, Secretary of Welfare, specified that of the total investment, 1.802 billion pesos were directed to Hidalgo, 4.005 billion to Veracruz, 756 million to Puebla, 166 million to Querétaro, and 695 million to San Luis Potosí. In total, 104,417 homes were surveyed in 119 municipalities with the support of 4,804 Servidores de la Nación distributed across 960 brigades.

Of the affected homes, 20,486 presented minor damage, 23,333 medium damage, 31,012 major damage, and 18,302 total loss. Authorities also reported damage to 7,831 local businesses, 29,045 small producers, and 56,600 compromised hectares.

The national broadcast included live reports from Ixhuatlán de Madero, Chapulhuacán, San Vicente Tancuayalab, Pantepec, and San Joaquín, where federal and state authorities continue delivering aid. President Sheinbaum acknowledged the collaboration of governors and all government agencies involved, highlighting that this rapid humanitarian response was made possible through coordinated action.
