President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo led a supervision tour in the state of Hidalgo to oversee federal relief operations in communities impacted by the extraordinary rainfall that occurred between October 6 and 9. This marks her fifth consecutive day visiting areas affected by natural disasters in different regions of the country.

Accompanied by Governor Julio Menchaca and members of her federal cabinet, the head of the executive branch participated in an inter-institutional coordination meeting to evaluate the relief actions implemented so far. “In coordination, we are supporting communities affected by the rains,” Sheinbaum shared on social media.

Present at the site were Secretary of the Interior Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Secretary of Welfare Ariadna Montiel, Coordinator of Welfare Programs Carlos Torres Rosas, and personnel from both the Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) and the Navy (SEMAR), who are applying the Plan DN-III-E and Plan Marina, respectively.

On the same day, President Sheinbaum also visited Tamaulipas, where she and Governor Américo Villarreal supervised the Pánuco River. She reported that although the waterway remains under constant surveillance, it does not currently pose a risk to the population.

President Sheinbaum reaffirmed that her administration will remain actively present in the affected regions and maintain close coordination with state and municipal governments, prioritizing the well-being of displaced families and ensuring a swift response to weather-related emergencies.
