Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo led the delivery of Rita Cetina Scholarship cards for Uniforms and School Supplies in Cunduacán, Tabasco, a program aimed at elementary school students across the country that will begin distribution in August as part of a strategy to strengthen access to public education.

During the event, the federal president highlighted that this program seeks to ensure that children have the minimum essentials needed to attend school, emphasizing that education is a right and a priority for the Government of Mexico within its social welfare policies.

Sheinbaum recalled that the federal administration maintains educational support programs at all school levels, including the Rita Cetina scholarship for secondary school students, the Benito Juárez scholarship for high school students, Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro for higher education, and the Gertrudis Bocanegra scholarship, which will continue expanding to benefit more students.

For his part, the National Coordinator of Scholarships for Well-being, Julio César León Trujillo, reported that more than 20 million scholarship recipients across the country will be assisted this year, with an investment exceeding 136 billion pesos. In Tabasco, he specified, the program benefits more than 500,000 students with resources surpassing 3.6 billion pesos.

During the event, the impact of these actions on the educational development of new generations was also highlighted. Student beneficiary Jacqueline Alonso Naranjo expressed gratitude for the support received and emphasized that childhood dreams can come true through education, while the state government reiterated its commitment to strengthening complementary programs in education and digital inclusion.
