Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum highlighted that Mexican women living and working in the United States represent a key force in that country’s economy, contributing $1.1 trillion, according to data from the Latino Donor Collaborative Think Tank (LDC). She emphasized that this contribution reflects the effort, honesty, and commitment of millions of Mexican women who actively participate in the economic development of the United States.

During the “Las Mañaneras del Pueblo” press conference, the president stated that Mexico remains willing to build a strong relationship with the United States, recalling that around 38 million Mexicans live in that country, reinforcing the importance of maintaining bilateral cooperation.

According to LDC Director Ana Valdez, there are 22.2 million Latina women living in the United States, of whom 14.1 million are adult Mexican women, while nearly 8 million actively participate in the labor force. In addition, more than 50 percent believe that starting a business is essential for their development, and 82 percent consider building wealth a top priority.

The study also reveals that Mexican women demonstrate a positive vision of progress and leadership. About 26 percent believe their situation has improved compared to two years ago, while 69 percent are motivated to take on leadership roles. Likewise, issues such as immigrant rights, women’s rights, and family well-being stand out as key drivers of participation and growth.

With these figures, the role of Mexican women as an economic, social, and entrepreneurial force in the United States is reaffirmed, consolidating them not only as part of the future, but as leading figures in the country’s present-day development.
