President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo inaugurated the Felipe Ángeles Train on the Buenavista–AIFA route, a 41-kilometer project that will connect northern Mexico City with the Felipe Ángeles International Airport in under 60 minutes in its initial phase and later in 43 minutes, ensuring the right to mobility through accessible transportation.

During the event, the president highlighted that this infrastructure is part of the revival of passenger rail in the country and emphasized that the project reflects the commitment to govern for the people, while also recognizing the participation of the Armed Forces in its development.

The system is expected to serve an estimated 57,000 passengers daily, with the capacity to transport more than 80,000 people, and includes six stations: Cueyamil, La Loma, Teyahualco, Prados Sur, Cajiga, and Xaltocan, in addition to the AIFA-Clara Krause terminal.

Authorities reported that the service will operate at an average speed of 65 kilometers per hour and a maximum of 130, with connections to various transportation systems such as the Suburban Train, Metro, Metrobús, Mexibús, and Ecobici, strengthening metropolitan integration.

The project benefits more than 799,000 residents in municipalities such as Tultitlán, Tultepec, Nextlalpan, and Zumpango, and generated more than 20,000 jobs during its construction, consolidating its role as a strategic project for development and mobility in the Valley of Mexico.
