President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted that her administration projects a historic investment exceeding 1.136 trillion pesos in Welfare Scholarships by 2030, with the aim of strengthening public education and expanding opportunities for students at all levels.

During her remarks, the president emphasized that scholarships should be understood as an investment rather than an expense, noting that these supports directly contribute to the development of children and youth, as well as to the transformation of the country.

According to education authorities, this investment will be nearly three times higher than that allocated over the past 18 years, enabling the estimated distribution of 129.5 million scholarships and significantly expanding the reach of these programs compared to previous administrations.

It was also reported that, starting April 13, payments began for the Universal Benito Juárez Upper Secondary Education Scholarship, Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro, and the Gertrudis Bocanegra Transportation Support program, corresponding to the January–February and March–April periods.

The Government of Mexico emphasized that these actions are part of a comprehensive strategy that includes the expansion of educational infrastructure, salary improvements for teachers, and the hiring of additional staff, with the goal of consolidating education as a central pillar of national development.
