President of the Republic Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo inaugurated in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, the country’s first Economic Development and Well-Being Hub (PODECOBI), as part of the “Plan México,” with a national and foreign investment of 540 million dollars across a 53-hectare area.

The project, considered the first of 15 hubs to be implemented nationwide, is expected to generate more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs, with the goal of boosting regional development and strengthening national production.

During the inauguration ceremony, the federal president explained that “Plan México” seeks to increase domestic production, attract investment, and generate well-being, guided by the principle of shared prosperity and the slogan “for the good of all, first the poor.”

Sheinbaum highlighted that the PODECOBI hubs include urban infrastructure and basic services such as housing, schools, water, and transportation, making it possible to attract investment under conditions of integrated and sustainable development.

Meanwhile, federal and state authorities agreed that this economic hub positions Tlaxcala as a national benchmark for investment attraction, while strengthening business confidence and regional growth.
