From November 18 to 21, the Government of Mexico, through the Secretariat of Welfare, began issuing the first payments of the Mujeres Bienestar Pension for Mexican women aged 60 to 64 who registered in August and received their card in October. The bimonthly support amounts to 3,000 pesos and is part of the Programs for Well-being, which now reach a historic level of nationwide coverage.
During the morning press conference, “Las Mañaneras del Pueblo,” led by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Welfare Secretary Ariadna Montiel Reyes explained that deposits will be made according to the first letter of beneficiaries’ last names. Recipients may check their payment date at gob.mx/bienestar.
The payment schedule is as follows: Tuesday, November 18 for last names starting with A, B, C, D; Wednesday, November 19 for E to K; Thursday, November 20 for L to Q; and Friday, November 21 for R to Z. To date, nearly 3 million women are enrolled in this program, which aims to ensure well-being and social recognition for older women.
Secretary Montiel reported that the Programs for Well-being now benefit 18,494,201 people, with an accumulated social investment of 99.1837 billion pesos. These include the Pension for the Well-being of Older Adults, the Disability Pension, the Working Mothers Program, and Sembrando Vida.
Meanwhile, Labor Secretary Marath Bolaños López highlighted that the Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro program has reached 3,423,461 beneficiaries, with an investment of 158 billion pesos. He also announced that the next registration period will begin on December 1, 2025, with a goal of enrolling an additional 500,000 young people.
