As part of her accountability exercise from the field, President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that the Government of Mexico will provide resources to San Luis Potosí to ensure payment for all teachers, particularly those in Telesecundaria.

In her message, the federal leader highlighted that 785,896 people in the state receive some form of support from the Programs for Wellbeing, with an annual investment of 20 billion pesos. Among them, more than 312,000 older adults receive pensions, 35,000 people with disabilities receive support, and thousands of young people, producers, and students benefit from programs such as Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro, Benito Juárez Scholarships, Production for Wellbeing, and Sembrando Vida. She also recalled the implementation of new programs such as the Pensión Mujeres Bienestar, the Rita Cetina Scholarship, and Health House by House.

In terms of infrastructure, Sheinbaum announced that by mid-2026 construction will begin on the Querétaro–San Luis Potosí section of the passenger train, which will extend to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. She also reported on the modernization of key highways such as Ciudad Valles–Tampico and Tamazunchale–Huejutla–Pachuca; a comprehensive water supply project for the state capital; the construction of a new campus of the Rosario Castellanos National University in Soledad de Graciano; and educational expansions in the state capital.

On health, the president highlighted the recent inauguration of the Río Verde General Hospital and announced the remodeling of the Ciudad Valles Hospital. She also revealed the construction of 22 LIBRE Centers and the Tamuín Airport, aimed at improving connectivity and services in the region.

For housing, Sheinbaum reported that construction has already begun on 40,000 homes through Infonavit, 9,000 through Conavi, and more than 3,000 through Fovissste, along with the reduction of unpayable loans benefiting more than 144,000 families. She stressed that these actions seek to guarantee a dignified home for the most vulnerable sectors.

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona thanked the president for her sensitivity and affirmed that, thanks to the support of the Federal Government, San Luis Potosí is undergoing a moment of transformation and progress that directly impacts the lives of its people.
