Leading the assembly for the Health House to House program at the IMSS Bienestar Hospital “Dr. Martiniano Carvajal,” President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo expressed her firm support for the people of Sinaloa and delivered a strong message against stigmatization: “The people of Sinaloa are hardworking, and we will not allow anyone to stigmatize them.”

In her speech, Sheinbaum reminded attendees that Sinaloa is the country’s leading producer of corn, stating: “Without corn, there is no country—and without Sinaloa, there is no corn.” She emphasized that her administration will continue to promote public policies that recognize and strengthen the dignity and development of Mexico’s productive regions.

Presenting the Health House to House program, the president explained that its primary goal is to care for older adults and people with disabilities, while also identifying chronic health risks—especially hypertension, which affects a large portion of the senior population. Nurses will carry medical equipment to conduct evaluations and create digital medical records linked to nearby health centers.

Sheinbaum also announced that, starting June 2, a call center will begin operations in Mexico City with 50 physicians initially available to assist community health brigades and authorize prescriptions. Medications will be available free of charge at Well-being Pharmacies, located within the new Well-being Stores.

The event was attended by Sinaloa Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, who praised the president’s leadership and commitment to the well-being of all Mexicans. Other health and welfare authorities also participated, including Zoé Robledo, Alejandro Svarch, David Kershenobich, and Ariadna Montiel, who reaffirmed their support for this comprehensive preventive care model, already regarded as one of the most robust worldwide.
