President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that, during the first quarter of 2025, the Government of Mexico’s revenues totaled 1.717 trillion pesos—an increase of 19.7% in real terms compared to the same period last year. In addition, March recorded 22,465,110 formal jobs registered with the IMSS, the highest number in the country’s history for that month.
During her morning press conference “The People’s Morning Briefing,” the president celebrated these figures as clear evidence of the success of the moral economy model and Mexican Humanism, based on the principle “For the good of all, the poor come first.”
Sheinbaum noted that the revenue collected from January to March 2025 was 333.03 billion pesos higher than in 2024, without the need to increase taxes or implement a fiscal reform. She credited public trust in the government, reflected in strong tax compliance.
The president also praised the efforts of the Tax Administration Service (SAT) and Mexico’s customs agencies, which have strengthened tax collection without coercive measures, contributing to sustained growth in public revenue.
Regarding employment, Sheinbaum stated that 226,731 formal jobs were created between January 1 and March 31, 2025, with 34,179 of those generated in March alone. These numbers confirm a favorable and sustained economic dynamic, driven by public policies focused on welfare and inclusive development.
