President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted that Mexico reached historic economic figures in April, recording exports worth $709 billion and a 2.1 percent increase in industrial activity, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

Sheinbaum Pardo described the performance of these indicators as positive news and emphasized that exports reached their highest level on record, strengthening Mexico’s presence in international markets and reflecting the dynamism of various productive sectors.

The head of the federal government also highlighted the results achieved in tourism, reporting that during the first four months of 2026, a historic record of 34.5 million foreign visitors was registered. In April alone, she noted, 3.81 million international tourists entered the country.

With these results, the Government of Mexico underscored the strengthening of economic activity in key sectors such as industry, construction, foreign trade, and tourism, areas that continue to drive the country’s growth and development.
