President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo reported that the Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), has strengthened its network of 53 consulates in the United States with an investment of 31,750,859 pesos, which has made it possible to assist 2,334 Mexican nationals in nearly three months.

She explained that the resources come from the “México con M de Migrante” lottery draw, held by the National Lottery on September 15, 2025, as a recognition of Mexican nationals living in the neighboring country.

The president emphasized that the primary function of the consulates is to provide direct assistance to the Mexican community abroad. To this end, oversight mechanisms have been implemented to improve service quality and address potential complaints.

She also highlighted that the “Mi Consulado” platform and the Consular Support Line are available, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering free and confidential assistance to those in need of guidance or support.

Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Secretary Juan Ramón de la Fuente reported that, between January 2025 and March 2026, thousands of consular protection actions have been carried out, including visits to detention centers, legal assistance, and support in repatriation processes, as part of the comprehensive strengthening of the consular network.
