During the Civic–Military Parade commemorating the 115th Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo declared that Mexico is advancing with honesty, peace, democracy, and justice. Speaking from the Plaza de la Constitución, she warned that those who call for violence or foreign intervention are mistaken, emphasizing that the country is moving forward guided by dignity, historical memory, and popular unity.
The president stressed that Mexico no longer accepts speeches that promote racism, classism, discrimination, or exclusion. She affirmed that today the government listens to, respects, and responds to the people, and that freedoms are not only guaranteed by the state but exercised within every community. She reiterated that “peace and tranquility are the result of justice,” and that the Fourth Transformation is a peaceful stage chosen democratically by the people.
Sheinbaum recalled the origins of the Mexican Revolution and denounced the excesses of the Porfirian regime, as well as the consequences of the neoliberal period, which she described as an era marked by setbacks, poverty, and privileges for a few. In this context, she stated that “those who glorify a heavy hand or imposition do not know the history of Mexico or its people.”
The president led the ceremony to raise the monumental flag, reviewed the troops, and observed a historical reenactment performed by 1,910 members of the Armed Forces, as well as a performance by the mariachi group of the Secretariat of National Defense. Two cadets from the Heroic Military College also recited the piece “Loyalty: Yesterday and Today.”
A total of 2,759 Army and Air Force personnel participated in the parade, along with 503 horses, 34 land vehicles, nine vintage vehicles, 23 aircraft, 100 charros, 44 civilians, 62 children, 19 athletes, and three eagles. Reporting on the event, Division General Juan José Gómez Ruiz informed the president that the parade took place without incidents. Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla Trejo reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to the nation and the people of Mexico.
