President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo led an assembly to review the progress of Salud Casa por Casa, describing it as a symbol of honesty, results, and above all, love for the people of Mexico. She noted that this program represents one of the most humanistic initiatives of the Second Floor of the Fourth Transformation, ensuring access to healthcare as a constitutional right.

Sheinbaum gave special recognition to Mexico’s nurses, praising them as health professionals distinguished by their love and sensitivity toward people. She highlighted that Mexican nursing is renowned worldwide for its dedication and professionalism. “This program is honesty, it is results, and above all, it is love for the people,” she stated, emphasizing that the strategy is a territorial model that brings care directly to each person’s home.

The president affirmed that Salud Casa por Casa is becoming the world’s leading program for early health prevention and care, complementing other policies such as Wellness Pensions for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities. She stressed that the government must focus on being close to the people, and this program exemplifies that by delivering free, high-quality services directly to homes.

In Tamaulipas, the program has already conducted more than 37,000 home visits, benefiting 300,000 seniors and people with disabilities. Social Welfare Secretary Ariadna Montiel Reyes reported that 600 health facilitators are visiting homes across the state, providing early care and helping improve living conditions for those most in need. Health Secretary David Kershenobich Stalnikowitz highlighted that the initiative allows people with limited mobility to access medical care without leaving their homes, supporting dignified aging.

Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya praised the implementation of such programs, stating that they transform primary healthcare and bring services closer to the population. During the assembly, nurse Gabriela Elizabeth García shared her experience and spoke of the enthusiasm with which residents welcome health professionals into their homes. The event was attended by various federal and state officials who reaffirmed their commitment to the program’s success and the building of a fairer, more inclusive Mexico.
