President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, announced that as part of the Mexico Plan, 100,000 additional jobs will be offered through the National Employment Fairs and the Employment Portal, available at www.empleo.gob.mx, driven by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS).

During her participation in the morning press conference “The People’s Morning Briefing,” the president emphasized that this strategy aims to expand job opportunities for the population by promoting private sector participation and facilitating direct connections between employers and job seekers at both in-person fairs and through the digital portal.

Labor and Social Welfare Secretary Marath Baruch Bolaños López reported that the 100,000 vacancies will be mainly promoted during the National Employment Fairs, reinforced by an additional edition set to take place on June 9 throughout the country. Around 400 events, including national, state, and regional fairs, are scheduled for the year.

The strategy has been strengthened through coordination with the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) and various business organizations to broaden the dissemination of job opportunities. Bolaños López also highlighted that since the beginning of the Fourth Transformation, there has been a consistent upward trend in the creation of formal employment, currently reaching 22.4 million jobs, with a record high in November 2024.

Additionally, he noted that the National Employment Service (SNE) has placed 2.4 million people in jobs since December 2018, and in the first six months of Claudia Sheinbaum’s administration, 162,000 people have benefited. Through programs like Youth Building the Future—now a constitutional right—labor training for Mexican youth has been significantly strengthened.

With these actions, the Government of Mexico reaffirms its commitment to Mexican Humanism and Shared Prosperity, prioritizing economic growth alongside development and wellbeing for all.
