In commemoration of International Women’s Day, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo emphasized that women’s ascension to positions of power in Mexico is a direct result of the nation’s transformative movement, which has championed women’s rights and their active participation in public life.

«We uphold the country’s transformation, and within this transformation, women have risen to power. This wouldn’t have happened otherwise, because the revolution of consciousness also led to the defense of women’s rights and their full integration into society,» the President stated during her morning conference.

Sheinbaum underscored that women’s progress is not an individual achievement but a collective process paved by millions. «A woman should feel like a president in her home, in the classroom, on the street. Not more, but not less. Equals,» she emphasized.
